Solar System

Approximately 14 years ago before I began painting portraits I painted a mural on my son’s wall, in the house we had recently moved in to.  This painting is by far not correct in scale, nor is it perfect but it sure made my 3rd grader happy.  Quite honestly it was fun to do a very large painting!  I may have to create another mural soon…

Heavenly Slumber

I was asked to create a painting for a client that would represent two very cherished people in her life.  This painting shows a woman and child that no longer reside here on earth but are simply asleep in heaven.  I had the great honor of creating this piece for her.

Letitia

“Letitia” was created for a client that wanted a little girl in a field picking flowers with a tree and old building. The little girl represents her granddaughter.  I was honored to be able to create something for my client that will be passed down from generation to generation.

In The Country

This painting is a compilation of four individual canvas paintings arranged together. However, when separated each painting has the ability to stand alone. This is my very first attempt at a multiple canvas painting, and more than likely will not be my last. I like how I was able to achieve background, middle ground, and foreground in this painting.

Cypress Sunset

Living in the Deep South brings opportunity to see this type of scenery. The cypress tree grows tall and strong. This painting captures the single tree in the brilliance of a setting sun, perhaps in a bayou. Are there any alligators lurking close by…?

Lots of changes

It has been quite a while since I have posted on my page. I’ve had lots of positive changes in my world! I finally picked up my paintbrush after more than eight months and realize how much I have missed creating! Have a FABULOUS day everyone!

Happy Landing

This was a very fun painting for me!  I especially love the rich, warm colors. The contrast between the butterfly, the flower, and the background make their focal point appear very 3-D.  I am very pleased with the way this painting turned out!
